Jan 29, 2009 · I just finished my first cake using Sam's Club icing, it did crust fine for simple flowers, I didn't try the rose yet. You ask for it in the bakery dept. I paid $19.99 for a bucket. I was not aware there is a chocolate as well. So thanks for that info. I didn't add any flavors, because I wanted to try it "straight", next time I will add to it.

Apr 15, 2007 · I don't live in the U.S. and was wondering about the quality of the cakes at Costco, Sam's and Walmart. From all the posts that I've read on CC, it sounds like the cake prices are inexpensive, but how is the taste? I have a neighbor who always refers to the cake prices at Sam's Club -- $25 for a sheet cake, etc.

Jun 16, 2009 · SAMS cupcakes are fine I guess, for people who can't afford to pay my price, but when I get a customer not wanting to pay my price for my made from scratch cupcakes, I lower the price down a little (depending on what they want on them) and I go and purchase cases of SAMS cupcakes and add some simple syrup, filling and icing or fondant.
