Sep 29, 2019 · It required a lot more work, like redrawing all of SNK's characters and even some of Capcoms (love the new Ryu sprite) in addition to balancing all the different grooves. It also had quite a lot of different modes and secrets which made for much more fleshed out experience than MVC2. MVC2 basically reused 95% of everything from older games.

Jun 15, 2018 · Not an SNK-developed game, but Samurai Spirits 0 Special is the best SS. Best system, best character selection, best balance (reported to the huge cast: some characters are helpless, but there's no overwhelming top tier). Best character selection screen as well. I love the sound design, with more ambient noises than musical themes.

Jul 20, 2024 · Honestly I always enjoyed this one. And I appreciated that the character selections were a touch more interesting than Capcom VS SNK (which was basically Street Fighter vs KoF). Amazing art, too. The prefight dialogue is cool as well.

Sep 6, 2018 · SNK Heroines is an accessible fighting game that's easy to pick up but much harder to put down. Unfortunately, the cast of characters is not very extensive, a disappointment considering the number of female fighters that missed the cut.

Sep 19, 2019 · Unless SNK was somehow burned working with Capcom, I don't foresee any difficulty on how they could make a modern re-release much along the lines of 3rd Strike: Online Edition, or the Capcom Beat'em Up bundle. I'd definitely like to replay any of the Dreamcast and PS2 era Capcom fighters today, Capcom Vs. SNK 2 isn't an exception to this.
