Thanks for posting, it's great to hear from real users. Battery swap has failed a few times, but Nio seems to have pulled it off. It opens up a lot of possibilities for apartment dwellers without garages. One downside -- it's not battery-efficient. With swap, every EV needs 1.2 or whatever expensive packs instead of 1.0.

But even if NIO offered a limited form of BaaS for MASS, it could still work. Because NIO MASS users would buy BaaS for some of the perks even if there was only 1 battery swap station.

Jul 7, 2023 · Nio have used the same form factor of the existing battery so that it can be offered as an upgrade so a 60 or 100kwh car can become a 150kwh. Not currently a quick swap out but may be the start of things to come.
