No background with HK, but willing to give it a try. Anyone who played the mobile release can chime in? Were there updates post launch (I guess they'd be rolled in here?). Hoping Steam Deck support is good.

Jun 22, 2023 · The game's codename is apparently "HYG" and is planning to be some kind of Animal Crossing-like game, some character design sheets and early in-game footage leaked. No idea if that'll be another gacha, but it's pretty funny that they are going from traditional Action RPG/Turn based RPG games to that.

Dec 26, 2024 · Animal Crossing, whew. And it probably won't stop until the next one comes out, whenever that is. I'm also glad Echoes, Jamboree and Brothership have kept coming along. My time with them so far has been limited but I enjoyed what I got to play.

Hell, years back, Naughty Dog and only Naughty Dog matched Akiyama's directoral and choreographic skill for a long long time. No to little iteration.

Nintendo took measures to prevent you from obtaining certain items via Tom Nook's secret passcodes. Most famously, the "Forbidden Four" NES games cannot be obtained through Tom Nook's secret codes.

Jan 19, 2025 · Wii U wasn't much better, with a lot of games just being follow-ups to their Wii counterparts or just plain being no-shows (Tropical Freeze, 3D World being a prettier 3D Land on 3DS, Animal Crossing only being a board game, etc.). It wasn't until legit Breath of the Wild that at least one really felt like a fresh new "next gen" take.

Jan 4, 2025 · And that's also considering their Tokyo team was busy with Animal Crossing Pocket Camp for like, 7 years (which is seemingly finally ending support so hopefully they're free now). Hopefully they can make new IPs on Switch 2 in the same vein as Hudson used to (that goes for Monolith and NLG too!).

Jan 16, 2025 · I've used multiple DevKits, a launch unit, the Animal Crossing release, a Switch Lite, my wife's Switch, and then we both upgraded to Switch OLEDs a little after they came out. From my experience with all of those, I haven't had a single controller start to drift.
