That Revolut — a company that has made little dent in the US, serves 11 million customers in the UK and was started in a fintech incubator in London’s Canary Wharf neighborhood — would consider a New York listing should perhaps be the starkest warning sign for British lawmakers.

Wise Plc is planning to list its shares in the US, the latest loss for London’s stock market after companies worth roughly $100 billion have shifted their primary listings stateside in recent years.

Wise, which will maintain a secondary listing in London, had been exploring its listing options lately - a shift seen across the London markets due to stunted growth opportunities and lower valuations.
