LPGA rookie, daughter of chicken farmers, wins first event. There's still 18 holes to go, but that would be one heck of a headline for Jenny Bae.

On the 18th, she pulled her approach into a patch of crushed coral to a short-sided pin. She didn't catch enough of the golf ball and left it in the sandy area, then caught all ball and sent it 25 feet past the pin on the collar. Two putts from there led to bogey.

Bae is a rookie on the LPGA Tour this season, and after finishing with a four-day total of 6-under at El Camaleón Golf Course, the 23-year-old came in solo second in the inaugural edition of this championship, what is now her career-best finish on the LPGA Tour.
