Israel launched its most extensive series of airstrikes on the Dahiyeh suburb of Beirut on Thursday, as well as Ain Qana in south Lebanon, stating it targeted Hezbollah drone production and storage facilities.

BEIRUT—Lebanon’s army has largely disarmed Hezbollah in its southern strongholds—in part with the help of Israeli intelligence—as the country’s new government moves to enforce a cease-fire that halted an intense wave of fighting with Israel last year.

Israel warned Friday that it would keep striking Lebanon until militant group Hezbollah has been disarmed, hours after hitting south Beirut in what Lebanese leaders called a major violation of a November ceasefire.
