Two unique job training centers in Hawaii are slated for closure in a Trump administration move to terminate the federal government’s 61-year-old Job Corps program.

Students and faculty across the country are stunned after the U.S. Department of Labor announced it will shut down most Jobs Corps centers nationwide, including on Oahu and Maui.

It makes no sense why Trump and DOGE axed Job Corps, cutting a cost-efficient career lifeline that works for many at-risk teens and young adults.
