Days after NPR sues over executive order, PBS takes aim at Trump administration's attempt to cut funding "out of a desire to alter the content of speech"

Trump’s executive order is one of several administration efforts to strip public broadcasting of its federal funding. In January, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair Brendan Carr launched an investigation into whether NPR and PBS violated FCC guidelines by airing commercials.

PBS sued President Donald Trump to block his effort to cut off federal funding for the public broadcaster. The lawsuit from PBS and one of its member stations in Minnesota came three days after NPR filed a similar suit against Trump and his administration.
