The boy’s death marked the city of Sacramento's third shooting involving a young adult in less than two weeks.

A victim who was approximately 18 years old was shot and killed early Sunday on the city's South Side, Chicago police said.

Slain Baldwin Park Police Officer Samuel Riveros, 35, was an avid Dodgers fan and snowboarder. A second officer was injured.
