A Wegmans grocery store is being built in Rockville's Twinbrook Quarter Community, and will open in June, the company said.

The East Coast grocery chain is also preparing to open its first location on New York’s Long Island on Feb. 26.

The store at 675 Connecticut Ave. in Norwalk is set to employ about 500 people and will be 92,000 square feet, a spokesperson said.

Wegmans is opening its first Fairfield County, Conn. store in Norwalk this July.
