Voice of America laid off nearly 600 employees Thursday as the Trump administration seeks to effectively dismantle the federally funded state media network—the administration’s latest move to reshape the media landscape in ways that benefit the White House.
“You ought to go back to your studio at NBC, because Brian Roberts and the people that run that place, they ought to be investigated,” he continued. “They are so terrible [the] way you run that network. And you are a disgrace. No more questions from you.”
