It has been pretty lopsided in the history of meetings between the Longhorns and Red Raiders, as Texas holds a 56-11 record over Texas Tech all-time. Texas has won the past 14 games in the matchup, including an 11-0, five-inning run-rule win back in February this year.

The Women's College World Series gets underway on Thursday with a talented group of players descending upon Oklahoma City. Seventeen members of Softball America's first- and second-team All-Americans will be in town to compete for the national title. They are led by Pitcher of the Year Karlyn Pickens and Freshman of the Year Taylor Shumaker.

Texas softball will continue the Women's College World Series with a familiar foe in Oklahoma, which has beaten UT 25 straight times in Oklahoma.
