The leaders of Cambodia and Thailand have agreed to meet to negotiate a ceasefire, according to a social media post by United States President Donald Trump on Saturday.

Prior to a dramatic escalation of a long-running border row between Bangkok and Phnom Penh, footage showing the construction of a flood barrier in northern Thailand was shared in posts falsely claiming it depicted the kingdom's soldiers building a wall along its frontier with Cambodia.
