Venezuelan migrants will seek to bolster their protections against deportation under a wartime law this week, after the Supreme Court temporarily blocked the Trump administration from deporting a group of migrants with an emergency ruling over the weekend.

Venezuelan migrants are asking the Supreme Court to provide more guidance about how they can fight deportation under the Alien Enemies Act.

On Saturday, the court told the administration not to remove Venezuelans held in the Bluebonnet Detention Center “until further order of this court.”
