South Australia’s police commissioner has spoken for the first time about the complex investigation into an arrest in Adelaide as the detained man clings to life in hospital.

Anthea Beck was kicked, punched, and had clumps of hair and scalp forcibly removed by Cruise during the incident in Adelaide.
