A 20-year-old man has died in a motorcycle crash in Plymouth. The crash between a red Mercedes and a red Honda motorcycle happened on Kings Road, in Devonport, at about 10:50 BST on Tuesday, police said.

The motorcyclist who died Monday night following a crash in Hopewell Township was an off-duty Bordentown Township police officer, authorities said. Officer Robert Sparano, 23, was killed in the crash on Route 31. “We are heartbroken by the sudden loss of Patrol Officer Robert Sparano,” Bordentown Township mayor Eric Holliday said in a statement.

Investigators believe that someone in a GMC Sierra traveling in an adjacent lane then ran over the man and continued driving, police said.
