President Donald Trump sent letters to 17 of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies — including Eli Lilly & Co., Novo Nordisk A/S and Pfizer Inc. — insisting they slash their US prices on new drugs to the lowest amount paid by certain other countries.

President Donald Trump is ratcheting up the pressure on major drugmakers to bring their US prices in line with the far lower ones available to patients in other countries.

President Trump published letters to 17 major pharma companies reiterating his requirements for them to fulfill his MFN order. Companies such as Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, Novo Nordisk, and Eli Lilly received the letters, which were also published on the President's Truth Social account.
