The Milwaukee Bucks made a surprising move early in free agency when they waived star guard Damian Lillard. On the one hand, it makes sense to do so when considering he's likely to miss the 2025-26 season after the torn Achilles he suffered in the playoffs, but he's still a productive player.

While some radio hosts have warned the Celtics against signing a ball-dominant player like Lillard especially given Joe Mazzulla’s preference for two-way contributors the interest appears mutual.
