The United Service Organization Northwest cooks lunch for the troops at JBLM every month, as a way of saying thank you.

"Acquiring this land will allow the project to move forward and ensure our Great Lakes are protected for generations to come," said U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.

The new casino will feature 1,000 slot machines and 43 live table games, including a baccarat room, as well as an ESPN BET sports book and a 10,000-sq.ft. event center.
