Melanie Joly has been moved from foreign affairs to industry, replaced by Anita Anand, who served as industry minister in Carney's short-lived first cabinet.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney unveiled his new cabinet at Rideau Hall in Ottawa on Tuesday, saying that the team will have a “primary focus” on the country’s economy after a whirlwind election catalyzed by tariffs and annexation threats from the United States.

Carney said Canada is at the “start of an industrial transformation,” which Joly will help lead, drawing on her experiences dealing with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and other U.S. officials.
