Jimmy Kimmel fought back tears during his return to 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' amid the Los Angeles wildfires: 'A sickening, shocking, awful experience.'

Kimmel touched on people helping each other and thanked first responders. Jimmy Kimmel delivered an emotional monologue during the Jan. 13 episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" about the "nightmare" situation of the Southern California fires.

"It has been a very scary, very stressful, very strange week here in LA," the late-night host said during his monologue on Monday night.

Kimmel said people "should never stop thanking" the heroic first responders who have been fighting the fires for a week in L.A.
