The five-time NBA All-Star left Golden State to chase his fifth championship ring on a Dallas roster that had Luka Doncic and Kyrle Irving.

Klay Thompson finished the loss with 18 points, two rebounds and three assists while shooting 7/15 from the field and 4/11 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time. Thompson had signed with the Mavs (over the summer) to help them return to the NBA Finals.

Klay Thompson's first full season away from the Golden State Warriors hasn't gone as planned. When he joined the Dallas Mavericks in the 2024 offseason, hopes were high that he could help elevate the franchise with Luka Doncic leading the way.
