After months of waiting, Nintendo finally revealed all the juicy details about the Nintendo Switch 2, including the first batch of games.
Nintendo will retail the Switch 2 for $449.99 at launch, which is significantly higher than the original Switch's $299 price tag. A separate bundle that includes the new "Mario Kart World" game will also be available for $499.99.
The Nintendo eShop also has a new game discovery feature.
Nintendo Switch 2 games are going to be more expensive than Switch 1 games, and at least one Switch 2 exclusive will cost $80.
Nintendo has officially revealed Mario Kart 9 and it’s actually called Mario Kart World. Players will race across new courses staged all over the world and in a series first be able to drive all around the map in-between races.
The new Nintendo Switch 2 console will release in June at a launch price of $449.99, the gaming company announced Wednesday—a significant hike from the $300 the first Switch cost in 2017 as the price of games has also spiked, frustrating consumers who hadn’t expected the large price increase.
The $450 console will get Mario Kart World at launch, 4K gaming when docked, Switch 2 Edition game enhancements and new mouse controls.
