The suspect accused of a shooting on Southern University's campus has been booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

Semaj Joiner was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Fort Worth, Texas, on Thursday, nearly two weeks after the shooting.

A news release issued by Southern University announced Friday that the U.S. Marshals took Semaj Joiner, who was identified as a suspect in the shooting, into custody in Texas on Thursday.
