KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. was removed from Tuesday night's loss at Kansas City with tightness in his right Achilles tendon and will be placed on the 10-day injured list. Acuña experienced the discomfort after chasing down a ball in right field. He'll be evaluated further on Wednesday.

Acuña exited Tuesday's game in the sixth inning after chasing after a foul ball along the line and a double into the gap by back-to-back batters. He was able to walk off the field under his own power, albeit gingerly, which is nonetheless encouraging. Walking with a significant Achilles injury is pretty much impossible.

The Atlanta Braves have placed Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list because of right Achilles tendon inflammation. The severity of the injury is still unclear.
