There's a good chance to catch aurora borealis in Maine this weekend—if the clouds cooperate. PORTLAND, Maine — We've been treated well the past year with plenty of chances to see the aurora borealis and plenty of excellent pictures to show for it.

According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) aurora forecast, the northern lights may be viewable in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, and even parts of Connecticut and Rhode Island. The northern lights are typically most visible between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. according to NOAA.

Sky-watchers, you're in luck—the northern lights, or aurora borealis, may make another showing in June, above Alaska and the upper Midwest to the Northeast, according to NOAA.
