Nothing says “spring has sprung” quite like a visit from The Pope of Mope. Morrissey just announced he’s going on a 12-concert North American tour this April and May. As of now, the former The Smiths frontman does not have a Tri-state area show in the books.

Morrissey is a Brit-pop icon. He made a name for himself as the well-dress, well-coiffed frontman/lyricist of the Smiths, a relatively underground band that became a darling of college rock radio in the 1980s. He managed to find continued success as a solo artist in the ’90s, releasing a string of well-received albums.

Morrissey has announced some April and May tour dates. They find him playing select dates as he moves across the country from California down to Florida. Morrissey has had a full album recorded for a number of years- Bonfire of Teenagers,
