Before Saturday's game, New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone commented on the injury status of veteran slugger Giancarlo Stanton.

ESPN's Jorge Castillo reported earlier in May that Stanton did expect to go on a rehab assignment before returning for the Yankees. It's certainly a logical step given how long Stanton has been out.
