Mikel Arteta wants any new signings to join Arsenal ’s pre-season tour of Asia as quickly as possible, with the club now closing in on a move for Viktor Gyokeres. Arsenal have agreed a deal with Sporting for Gyokeres worth €63.5million (£55m) up front, with a further €10m (£8.7m) in add-ons.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he "always wants better" from his players but is "very happy" with forward Gabriel Martinelli. Martinelli has been linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League this summer after an injury-hit campaign in which he started 25 Premier League games and managed eight goals.
