During the offseason, the Miami Dolphins’ 2025 second-round pick has focused on building relationships with his teammates both on and off the field.
Miami Dolphins rookie guard Jonah Savaiinaea has impressed coaches and teammates with his work ethic and maturity. Savaiinaea skipped summer vacation to train in South Florida and aims to play at around 320 pounds. The Dolphins' new guard duo of Savaiinaea and James Daniels is expected to significantly improve the offensive line.
The Dolphins signed a veteran cornerback who was drafted by the team back in 2018 to help with depth at the position in camp.
MIAMI GARDENS -- Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel met with reporters to offer an update on Bayron Matos, Artie Burns and touch on a variety of other subjects. Matos is the team's international player who was injured at the end of the first practice of training camp and airlifted to a hospital with upper-body injury.
The team said Matos will remain in the care of doctors for continued observation so they can make a long-term diagnosis.
