A bittersweet departure: Pandas return to China from Zoo Atlanta after more than 20 years
All four giant pandas that have called Zoo Atlanta home landed back in China on Saturday. It's been 23 years since the parents came to Georgia.

ATLANTA — After 25 years, the time has come to say goodbye to Zoo Atlanta’s panda family. Lun Lun, Yang Yang, Ya Lun and Xi Lun officially left for the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding on Saturday morning. Three Zoo Atlanta team members are making the journey with them to help keep them comfortable on the flight.
