Kristen Stewart’s feature directorial debut The Chronology Of Water was greeted by a 6 1/2-minute ovation by an enthusiastic audience in Cannes.

Adapted from Lidia Yuknavitch’s acclaimed 2011 memoir of the same name, the film stars Imogen Poots, Thora Birch, Nick Cave's son Earl Cave and Sonic Youth bassist Kim Gordon.
