If there is one thing Jace Jung would have done differently in spring training, perhaps it has nothing to do with his approach, swings, defense or overall performance. Maybe he would go back to wearing his signature eye black.

DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers recalled infielder Jace Jung from Triple-A Toledo before Monday’s series opener against the San Diego Padres. He takes the spot of infielder/outfielder Ryan Kreidler, who was optioned to Toledo.

Jung said he had too many thoughts in his head during spring training. It led to struggles at the plate, and cost him a roster spot with the Tigers.
