The National Weather Service has placed Evansville and huge swaths of the Tri-State under an "extreme heat watch" for Monday and Tuesday.

On Wednesday at 1:41 p.m. the National Weather Service issued an extreme heat watch valid for Friday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for Eastern Montgomery and Lower Bucks as well as Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Dangerous heat is returning to Central NC this weekend, marking the fourth heat wave of the year. It's expected to last through at least the middle of next week.
