Discount retailer Dollar Tree said the impact of tariffs will result in lower than expected profit for the second quarter, which ends Aug. 3.

Truist analysts say they believe Dollar Tree and other retailers have done a better job staying flexible on where they get products.

Dollar Tree remains optimistic about its long-term prospects, but tariffs will pressure the discount-retail chain in the near term.
