Crystal Palace submit an appeal against their demotion from the Europa League to the Conference League with the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Crystal Palace have submitted an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport against their demotion from the Europa League to the Conference League. Palace, who were punished for breaching multi-club ownership rules earlier this month, have lodged their appeal against UEFA, Lyon and Nottingham Forest.

UEFA’s decision to demote Palace not only benefits Lyon, but it may also see Nottingham Forest - who finished seventh in the Premier League last season - promoted from the Conference League to replace the Eagles in the Europa League, although this is yet to be confirmed by UEFA.
