Reports in Spain claim Rashford, via his agent Pini Zahavi, has proposed a loan move from Manchester United this summer, which would include an option for Barcelona to buy him permanently - just like the deal Aston Villa agreed with the Old Trafford club this season.

Villa have the option to land Rashford permanently at the end of his loan spell, but are yet to begin negotiations. Several other clubs in Europe have also been linked with the 27-year-old, who remains tied down to the Red Devils until 2028.

Unai Emery has confirmed that Rashford is unavailable for their clash against Tottenham on Friday, meaning he could have played his final game for the club.
