"Venom: The Last Dance" has come and gone and with it, Tom Hardy's final solo film as Eddie Brock/Venom in the Sony Spider-Verse. As much as fans wanted it to happen, none of his appearances included any kind of meeting with Tom Holland's Peter Parker/Spider-Man, but according to Hardy the epic meeting came very close to happening.

Man, but he’s not holding out for it. In an interview with ComicBook, Hardy said that he wants Eddie Brock to meet up with the webslinger, but it’s not a prerequisite for his return. It’s not entirely clear what else he would show up for,
