(FOX40.COM) — One of California’s largest upcoming water projects, Sites Reservoir, recently received over $100 million in federal funding, according to Sites Reservoir Project officials.
LOCAR is a proposed reservoir to hold 65.17 billion gallons of Lake Okeechobee water, some of which gets discharged to the St. Lucie River now.
Stanislaus County Public Works Director David Leamon said there’s an opportunity for a scenic overlook on the route.
