Dozens of people gathered outside the State Capitol Building Wednesday morning, lashing out about a bill that would allow North Carolinians to concealed carry a handgun without a permit.

A Lancaster woman is alleged to have reached for a firearm during a search of a vehicle parked in a Hanover no-parking zone on April 15, police said.
