A 12-year-old boy was shot inside a home in West Philadelphia on Wednesday night, police said. The child was rushed to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia after being shot in the head or neck, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

A suspect has been taken into custody after a shooting at a West Philadelphia grocery store Wednesday killed one teenager and injured another, the Philadelphia Police Department said. Officers responding to reports of gunfire around 2:15 p.m. inside a store on the 5400 block of Race Street found both boys suffering from gunshot wounds.

An 18-year-old was killed and an 17-year-old is injured following a double shooting near the area of James Logan Elementary School in Northwest Philadelphia, police said.
