I write in response to a recent letter opposing the legalization of medical aid in dying in Virginia ("No medically assisted death in Virginia," Jan. 17).
Medical aid-in-dying laws have worked extremely well as intended in states constituting almost 25% of the U.S. population, including our neighboring states of Vermont and New Jersey.
