If you're going to make a rock biopic and you need to cast the frontman, you may as well get a singer to play a singer. Deadline reports that's exactly what's happened with the upcoming biopic of the glam rock band KISS.

The forthcoming KISS biopic has found an unexpected star, with Nick Jonas reportedly set to portray the band's frontman, Paul Stanley. Per a report from Deadline, Jonas is preparing to close a deal which will see him taking on the role of KISS' vocalist and rhythm guitarist in Shout It Out Loud.

Nick Jonas is donning a black wig, some white face paint and a rock and roll attitude for his next role. The singer is in final negotiations to play Kiss co-founder Paul Stanley in the the McG-directed biopic of the rock band,
