Honda said Wednesday it is recalling about 295,000 vehicles in the U.S. due to a software issue that could cause the engine to lose drive power.

Honda and Acura have recalled 295,000 vehicles in order to update their fuel injection software. Improper programming could cause the vehicles' engines to lose drive power, hesitate and stall, which could increase the risk of a crash or injury,

Honda is recalling nearly 300,000 vehicles that could unexpectedly stall or lose drive power. The software issue impacts the Honda Pilot as well as the Acura TLX Type-S and MDX Type-S. The Acura MDX is also being recalled over a faulty rearview camera display.
