It is worth noting that users were not happy with the temporary black logo ... with the blue Facebook icon in the center instead of the classic blue background with the white icon.

The app's logo has taken on a black background with the blue "f" still in place. It appears to have only happened on iOS so far. And Facebook hasn't explained why the change has happened.
