In honor of the Bicentennial of Allen County, officials felt the need to update the flag, so they opened a portal for design ideas and had over 300 designs submitted.

In the ceremony, a reception will be held, along with a showing of the top flag designs submitted to the county. The new Allen County flag will also be revealed at the ceremony.
