Jurickson Profar attempted to spark the Braves’ offense as he returned from an 80-game performance-enhancing drug suspension on Wednesday night against the Angels. “I didn't take anything on purpose,” Profar said in an opening statement during a pregame press conference.

Profar is eligible to return to the Braves lineup with his 80-game suspension for a positive test for performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) having concluded. He is expected to be in the starting lineup immediately and play all nine innings at his usual spot in left field.

Profar will be the every-day left fielder going forward, but the suspension prevents him from playing in the postseason; if the Braves (38-46) even get to that point.
