SEATTLE -- Jacob Markstrom made 21 saves to help the New Jersey Devils end a four-game losing streak with a 3-2 win against the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Monday. Markstrom made two desperation saves in the third period to preserve the win, one with his glove on Eeli Tolvanen and one with his stick on Matty Beniers.
Markstrom's biggest save of the game came just moments after Palat's go-ahead goal, stopping Eeli Tolvanen on his doorstep. Markstrom was spectacular all evening, making 21 saves on 23 shots.
Seattle twice ties the game but New Jersey scores the final goal for a 3-2 victory on Monday as the Kraken head out for a five-game trip.

On Monday, the New Jersey Devils announced that forward Erik Haula is day-to-day with an ankle injury and is expected to undergo further testing. However, after an optional morning skate, head coach Sheldon Keefe told the media that Haula could miss a few weeks due to an ankle sprain.
Devils defenseman Luke Hughes had a goal and an assist, Jacob Markstrom made 29 saves and New Jersey defeated the Carolina Hurricanes 4-2.
