A West Virginia man police say kidnapped his pregnant, estranged wife on Tuesday morning has been captured more than 24 hours after he was located in eastern Kentucky but got away from state police there on foot.

Police allege the man was armed with a knife and during the encounter, one of the sheriff’s deputies fired their gun, hitting the man.
